Senior Java Web Developer/Architect

Location: San Jose, California

We are looking for a senior Java web developer/architect to work in a new and very strategic project for the company involving Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Mobile Applications. The primary responsibility for this position will be to lead the development and architecture of our enterprise class web services portal. You will be working with a small team of world-class engineers and researchers on the product definition, prototyping and productization.

The candidate must be experienced in developing and deploying scalable web services. She or he must be very enthusiastic, ingenious and creative. This is a hands-on position and requires an ability to collaborate in small to medium-sized groups in an entrepreneurial environment at our San Jose headquarters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an absolute must have.

Minimum Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Five years or more of Java based web development experience
• Working knowledge of web front end technologies HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Google App Engine, Amazon AWS)
• Enthusiasm to work collaboratively within a team

• Knowledge of XMPP protocol
• Experience with JQuery or similar JavaScript library
• Experience in Flash and ActionScript
• Experience with Spring and/or Hibernate
• Experience with unit testing with framework such as JUnit
• Experience with database programming (MySQL preferred)
• Comfortable in other non-Java languages like C/C++, Objective C, C# and Python
