SQA Lead + Project ManagerLocation: San Jose, California
If you love testing brand new products and pinching it until you run out of bugs to report then we may need to talk. Furthermore, if you are an organized person and you know how to organize the development activities and can oversee & manage developments' schedules then we MUST talk!
We are looking for someone who is a Software Tester + SQA lead + Project Manager all in one (or at least can become all in one). You'll be working in a highly fast-paced start-up team incubated in a well established company.
The team works on a very strategic project for the company involving Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Smart Phone Applications. You will be working with a small team of world-class engineers and researchers who work on defining, prototyping and productizing new products. This position offers great visibility with the Executive team (this is a CEO sponsored project). Furthermore, the team that you will be working with consists of graduates of Stanford & UC Berkeley (constructive rivalry!).
The ideal candidate must feel comfortable in developing test cases, executing the tests thoroughly, reporting bugs efficiently to the development team and also be a skilled project manager. She or he must be very enthusiastic, ingenious and creative. The position requires an ability to collaborate in small to medium-sized groups in an entrepreneurial environment at our San Jose headquarters and being proactive is key! Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an absolute must have.
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 1-3 years of related professional work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in SQA & testing
- Must be able to test thoroughly and report reproducible cases efficiently
- Must have experience in Mobile App SQA and also Web 2.0 SQA
- Strong Project Management skills (you must know your MS Project!)
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Must be a great team player!
- Be proactive and always help out the team members (we mean this!)
Big Plus
- Strong software engineering skills
- Strong knowledge in test automation using Perl, PHP or Python
- Having a big desire to be good and achieve greatness on all fronts!
- Wanting to find a job that you can fall in love with! (it sounds cheesy, but we really want people that are proactive and can develop emotional attachments to their projects!)
