Software UI Engineer - Linux UbuntuLocation: San Jose, California
We are currently looking for a Software UI Engineer - Linux Ubuntu based developer for our San Jose headquarters. This Linux Software Engineer will work on a project that involves embedded and server side development in cross platform environment (Linux and Windows). You will be a part of a small team while interacting with engineers from many geographies. The team is responsible of delivering a completely new product in consumer and enterprise space.
The candidate must be very comfortable of creating entirely new look and feel for a desktop and applications. You should be able to implement UI design based on art designer's vision no matter how complex and innovative it looks.
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related degree with 3-5 years of applicable professional work
- Strong C knowledge and development experience on Linux/Ubuntu (3+ years)
- Linux UI development using GTK+/GNOME 2 * 5+ years
- OpenGL experience
- Can design UI API that can be plugged-in to existing applications
- Ability to integrate UI design to existing applications
- Experience working with Clutter or similar technologies
- Glade experience 2+ years
- Understanding of Object Oriented paradigm
- Good written and verbal communication skills
