WyseChoice Warranty Options

The livelihood and success of your company relies on the productivity of its employees. To help your business achieve its goals, Wyse offers a wide selection of thin clients, while providing comprehensive service and support. Wyse also offers the following warranty options to further lower the total cost of ownership of our thin clients. Two options enhance the standard warranty to advance replacement and the third option extends the standard warranty.

GoldChoice

GoldChoice option is our premium Next-Day Advance Replacement Service (ARS) enhancement which upgrades and extends the standard warranty terms. GoldChoice is designed to provide you with the parts you need to minimize equipment downtime, without requiring major investments in inventory, asset management infrastructure, and other costly resources.

GoldChoice option contains the following features and conditions:

  • 5 full years of next-day replacement service for desk top products and 3 years of service for mobile products.
  • Must be purchased at the same time as product purchase
  • This option may not be combined with the SilverChoice option
  • Option not valid until Contract Activation Key is registered
  • Applies to new products only
  • Online RMA process

SilverChoice

SilverChoice option is our basic Next-Day ARS enhancement which upgrades the standard warranty terms.

SilverChoice option contains the following features and conditions:

  • 3 years of next day replacement service for desktop products and 1 year of replacement service for mobile products.
  • Can be purchased either at time of product purchase or within 90 days of product purchase.
  • Renewable in 1 or 2 year increments - Renewals are either/or and may not be combined. Renewals must be purchased 90 days prior to the expiration of original warranty option.
  • Purchase requires that product has been previously registered
  • Option not valid until Contract Activation Key is registered
  • Applies to new products only
  • Online RMA process

BronzeChoice

Our BronzeChoice option extends the standard warranty from 3 years to 4 or 5 years.

BronzeChoice option contains the following features and conditions:

  • Extends the standard warranty coverage up to 4 or 5 years for desktop products and up to 3 years for mobile products
  • May be purchased at the time of product purchase or 90 days prior to the expiration of the original warranty
  • Renewable in 1 or 2 year increments - Renewals are either/or and may not be combined.
  • Purchase requires that product has been previously registered
  • Option not valid until Contract Activation Key is registered
  • Does not apply to refurbished product
  • Online RMA process

Purchasing Terms

You may purchase these extended warranties in one of the following ways:

  1. End Users in the US and Canada who wish to purchase the SilverChoice or BronzeChoice using a purchase order or credit card may contact Wyse’s partner, CintronicsOnline.com, at 1-630-499-9973 or their Wyse reseller.
  2. End Users outside of the US and Canada should contact their Wyse reseller

Option Details

GoldChoice

The GoldChoice Next-Day Advance Replacement Service option is available only with new product purchases. You must order this option on the same purchase order used to purchase your Wyse Thin Client. With this purchase you or your reseller will receive an email with a contract key and instructions indicating that this key must be activated in order to complete the contract process. If you do not receive this key and instructions please notify your reseller. Keys must be activated to be entitled to service. After activation you will receive an email detailing the serial numbers of the units covered as well as the instructions for obtaining service.

How does this option work?

Wyse’s GoldChoice option assures that a like-new Wyse thin client is delivered to your door by the following business day (second business day in some geographical locations). The design of this time saving service eliminates the inconvenience of finding a box for shipping the defective unit in for repair and then waiting for that unit to be repaired. Most importantly it minimizes downtime and productivity loss.

Obtaining Service

In the event that your unit requires repair, simply follow the instructions in the email that you received following the activation of your contract key. (If you did not receive these instructions please contact your reseller)

Wyse will express a replacement unit to your location the following business day (second business day in some geographical locations) if we receive your request by 1:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time if located in North America or by local standard time in other geographies. If Wyse receives your request after 1:00 p.m., the replacement unit will arrive the second business day (third business day in some geographical locations).

Wyse has made the return of the defective unit easy by including pre-paid shipping instructions with each replacement unit. The option requires that you return the defective unit to Wyse within 10 business days or you will receive an invoice for the full list price of the unit. Once received, the defective unit becomes the property of Wyse. Upon receipt of the defective unit, the replacement unit warranty will assume the remaining warranty period of the original unit.

This time saving service eliminates the inconvenience of shipping the defective unit in and waiting for that unit to be repaired and gives you piece of mind for five years.

BronzeChoice

The BronzeChoice extended warranty option offers you peace of mind for up to 5 years of desktop and 3 years of mobile thin client ownership. The option takes effect at the end of the standard 3-year or 1-year warranty period and covers all parts and labor that are available under the original warranty. When you consider that the average cost of just one repair can be $150 or more, a substantially higher cost than our average warranty extension plan, you can be assured that you're making a sound investment. With the BronzeChoice option, you won't need to waste valuable time or money finding a service provider or waiting for non-operative thin clients to be repaired, which can have dramatic effects on productivity. Overall, these benefits help you avoid unnecessary hassle and expenses and keep your business operating at maximum efficiency.

As mentioned previously this option must be purchased 90 days prior to the expiration of the standard product warranty. With this purchase you or your reseller will receive an email with a contract key and instructions indicating that this key must be activated in order to complete the contract process. After activation you will receive an email detailing the serial numbers of the units covered as well as the instructions for obtaining service. If you do not receive this key and instructions please notify your reseller. Keys must be activated to be entitled to service.

This option is available for most Wyse models of thin clients.

Obtaining Service

Should your unit require repair, the RMA process is quite simple.. The first step is to follow the instructions you receive after activating your key. Wyse will issue you an RMA for the return of the unit to one of our Wyse Service Centers or you may elect to use one of our ASCs (Authorized Service Centers). The RMA process is described in detail on the Web page: http://www.wyse.com/serviceandsupport/service/rmaproc.htm.
